19th PDAC Dennis Lee Award

This award is in recognition of Dennis Lee; a native Philadelphian, a Community Advocate, a Consultant, and a Humanitarian. Our goal is to provide a $500 award to four graduating seniors (each) who: attend high school (Public or Charter) in the 19th Police District of Philadelphia, have made outstanding contributions in the area of service, and will be attending a College/University, a Technical College, Trade School or a Community College. 

Award Criteria

1. The Applicant must be a current graduating high school senior who attends high school (Public or Charter) in the 19th Police District.

2. The Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.

3. The Applicant must submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation, one (1) from the principal, a counselor, a coach, or a teacher from the student’s high school and one (1) from a community member (local/state elected official, pastor, etc.)

4. The Applicant must complete the 19th PDAC Dennis Lee Award Application.

5. The Applicant must provide a transcript for the third semester of their senior year with a grade point average, a completed high school transcript with cumulative grade point average and a class standing/rank.

6. The Applicant must submit a copy of an acceptance letter to a college/university, technical college, trade school, or a community college.

About Dennis Lee

Dennis Lee was born and raised in Philadelphia. He attended Overbrook High School, graduating in 1975. He then went on to attend Lincoln University, where he graduated in 1979; receiving a Bachelor's Degree. Dennis is very passionate about serving his community, and affecting positive change in the world.
